Scaling localized PDPs without breaking ops

Planning a 14‑market rollout next quarter, I need a translation + taxonomy workflow that respects local shopping cues, not just language. Is anyone running Akeneo with Phrase (or Lokalise) plus Searchspring and getting consistent region-specific attributes and SEO for Arabic and Japanese — think RTL, cultural color names, and JP/US size conversions? Open to alternatives if you’ve kept PDP load times under 2s while supporting 3+ locales per SKU.

We run Akeneo + Phrase + Searchspring across 12 markets; giving attributes “passports” helped — keep canonical keys separate from local display fields. Put ‘JP/US size conversions’ and color-name variants in an Akeneo Reference Entity (https://docs.akeneo.com/), make slugs a localizable attribute, and let Phrase only touch display text while taxonomy IDs stay frozen. Searchspring then uses per-locale facets/synonyms and templates handle RTL; don’t forget hreflang per locale — do you already store URL keys per market in Akeneo?
